Vietnamese Refugees in Southeast Asia
[ send me this essay ]
This 5 page report discusses Vietnamese refugees in other Southeast Asia nations. As refugees fled from Vietnam, many found themselves lost in the bureaucratic red tape of being displaced persons. Others made it safely to other nations where either family members and/or a new start awaited them. Others remained in Southeast Asia but in worlds that were far removed from their homeland. Vietnamese refugees who expected to be able to make their way and begin new lives in other Southeast Asian nations have often encountered far more difficult situations than those experienced by their friends and relatives who made their way to Europe or North America.
